A Church Committed to Prayer

Prayer shapes the life of our church. It is how we seek the Lord’s direction, intercede for one another and remain faithful to the mission He has given us. From focused gatherings to extended seasons of prayer, we desire to be a people who consistently turn to God together. The opportunities below reflect that commitment and invite you to join us.

In Matthew 21:13, Jesus quotes from Isaiah (56:7), “My house will be called a house of prayer.” This one phrase, spanning over 700 years, points to the importance of prayer in the believer’s life and in the Church. The pastor’s at ISBC believe that ISBC should be a church where prayer is emphasized. We strive to incorporate special times of prayer during our worship services and gatherings.

Prayer Emphases

Every year the pastors call the church to engage in a prayer emphasis. These seasons of prayer can be from 1 week to 200 days. In 2024, the church was called to 200 days of praying for our nation and especially the 2024 presidential election.

Over the past three years, the church has been strengthened through the 31 day prayer guides by Tiece King. This March (2026) the pastors will be asking the church to join them in praying through Tiece King’s, Pray the Word for Your Church: 31 Prayers that seek God’s Purposes and Power. Please join us as we set aside 31 days to pray the Word for our church.

You Don’t Have to Carry It Alone

Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to walk through it by yourself. Our prayer team is ready to pray with you and for you. Whether the need is urgent, ongoing or simply weighing on your heart, we believe prayer makes a difference.

Share your request and let us know how widely you’d like it shared. Every request is handled with care and respect.

Prayer Cover

Prayer Cover is a prayer luncheon the first Monday of the month. We gather for a dedicated hour of prayer cover for our church and our nation. We begin by enjoying a Chick-fil-A box lunch at 11:45 am and then get to the business of covering our fellowship and leaders in prayer.  If you would like to join the Prayer Cover, please contact church office.
