AWANA - News, events, & connections

This Week's News (Aug. 23rd):

Regular club night. If you still need to register your child, please come to the Awana office.

If you signed up, as a parent, to help this week, please come to the Awana office at 5:55 and we’ll assign you to a club.

We are asking all Awana parents this year to sign up to volunteer for 3 nights. We are starting the year with a deficit in the number of workers we have and we always need substitutes for leaders who are out. If you did not have a chance to sign up at the parent meeting last week, you can use the following link to sign up at:

Sign Up Genius.

Children will report to their regular club starting spots at 6 PM:

· Cubbies and puggles (2-4 year olds) – meet in the downstairs hallway of the brick building for sign in

· Sparks (K-2nd grade) – meet upstairs above the kitchen in the CLC, the stairs are in the far corner of the gym.

· T&T girls (3rd-6th grade) – meet in the large Awana room, last room on left in CLC hallway

· T&T boys (3rd-6th grade) – meet upstairs above the hallway in the CLC, steps just inside hallway door

Club will run from 6-7:30 PM. Pick up at 7:30 will take place in the following spots:

· Cubbies and puggles (2-4 year olds) – pick up in the Cubbies game room, 2nd door on the right in the downstairs hallway of the brick building (must be dismissed to a parent or sibling over 16)

· Sparks (K-2nd grade) – pick up from the large Awana room, last room on the left in CLC hallway. (must be dismissed to a parent or sibling over 12)

· T&T girls (3rd-6th grade) – pick up from the upstairs room over the hallway side (must be dismissed to a parent or sibling)

· T&T boys (3rd-6th grade) – pick up from the upstairs room over the kitchen side (must be dismissed to a parent or sibling)

** All clubbers need to wear tennis shoes to game time. We always have injuries when children try to play the games with flip flops or sandals on.

** Please pick up clubbers promptly at 7:30 and try to do any of your fellowshipping with other parents outside. We have staff members that can’t leave until everyone has exited the building. Thank you!

Upcoming Events

Pure Water, Pure Love

Before the summer break, our WMU told our clubbers about the Pure Water, Pure Love initiative which brings clean water to places that don’t currently have access to it. The clubbers were given a water bottle bank to collect change in. Please continue to collect the change. The WMU will be collecting these banks at the Oct meeting on Oct 4.
